First Visit
On your first visit you will be required to provide us with a complete medical history. Afteryour history is recorded specific attention will then be given to your presenting complaint.
An orthopaedic examination will be performed to assess the condition of your spine and related
articulations. A neurological examination is performed to assess the integrity and functioning
of your nervous system. If indicated imaging studies including plain x-ray films, CAT scans, or an
MRI may be ordered to further assess your condition. Other diagnostic and laboratory studies may
be ordered as well if needed.
It is at this point that we can then determine the appropriateness of chiropractic treatment for your
condition or if indicated the need for co-management or a referral. Our goal is the resolution of your problem.
Often our patients are referred by other physicians and diagnostic studies may have already been performed. We ask the patient to bring these reports with them on their first visit so that the doctors can review them and avoid having to duplicate any tests. If you do not have test reports please inform our staff of when and where you had the test preformed, and we will retrieve the reports.
